Welcome to Dallas Baptist University’s (DBU) Reaffirmation of Accreditation Web site. This site presents DBU’s response to the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) requirements which are included in The Principles of Accreditation: Foundations for Quality Enhancement.

Two elements are central in this reaffirmation process. First, Dallas Baptist University must demonstrate compliance with Core Requirements and Comprehensive Standards which are addressed in the Compliance Certification.

DBU’s Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) comprises the second element in the Institution’s reaffirmation process. The QEP has provided DBU the opportunity to design a focused course of action to be implemented over five years which complements the University’s "ongoing integrated institution-wide planning and evaluation process" while enhancing student learning by increasing the effectiveness of its educational program through service-learning (The Principles of Accreditation: Foundations for Quality Enhancement, p.21).

Dallas Baptist University’s Mission Statement is "To provide Christ-centered quality higher education in the arts, sciences, and professional studies at both the undergraduate and graduate levels to traditional age and adult students in order to produce servant leaders who have the ability to integrate faith and learning through their respective callings."

As a liberal arts University located in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, the Institution services 5,167 students and offers six associate, 59 baccalaureate, 19 master’s and two doctoral degree programs.
